An interactive and engaging approach to delivering a live streamed training session via Microsoft Teams

The session will take place on:

  • Thursday 13th June 2024 (1pm - 2pm)

Counts as 1 hour CPD training.

Course content:

  • Dementia and types

  • Differential Diagnosis

  • Delirium

  • Management options

  • Prevention

  • Awareness/ self-reflection on our own beliefs about Dementia

  • Medicines/ prescribing / concordance difficulties and solutions   for people living with Dementia

  • Dementia specific communication skills

  • How to meet the needs of informal carers who visit the surgery

  • Dementia and disability. Obligatory practical adaptations

  • National and local signposting/resources so every contact counts

Delegates will require:

• To access course on a computer, laptop, tablet, or iPad with a large screen (i.e. bigger than a phone)

• A good internet connection

• To be in an environment where you will not be disturbed, as you will need to be present for the whole course (as it is interactive & live)

• Undertake an online evaluation
