Foundation Training
This course is designed for nurse supervisors and assessors working with both pre-registration students & GPNTs. Interested in supporting learners in practice in NCL.
Dates:
Cohort 1: Tuesday, 20/10/2026 (For both the Practise Assessors working with the pre-registration students & GPNts, SCPHN EPAD session included)
Cohort 2: Tuesday, 19/01/2027 (For Practise Assessors working with the pre-registration students only)
Cohort 3: Tuesday, 18/05/2027 (For both the Practise Assessors working with the pre-registration students & GPNts, SCPHN EPAD session included)
Cohort 4: Tuesday, 15/06/2027 (For Practise Assessors working with the pre-registration students only)
You will be expected to have your camera on and actively participate in discussions as if in a classroom environment.
Completing this course will provide the skillset needed to support students. Those who finish the course will be added to a database and signposted to further courses to support your role as a primary care educator.
Important for attendees: Before attending this practical training, participants must complete the required Day 1 e-learning (approximately 7 hours) to meet NMC requirements. Proof of completion must be email to nclicb.nclcpd@nhs.net at least 2 days before the Initial Training. Failure to provide evidence of completion may affect eligibility to attend the practical session.
