We are delighted to announce that The NCL Valued Awards are back this year!
Following the success of last year's event, we are once again inviting nominations to recognise outstanding work that has made a real difference to staff, patients and communities within NCL primary and social care.
NEW: This year, we're excited to introduce a sixth award category – Sustainability & the Green Agenda – celebrating organisations who are taking meaningful action to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable working.
Submit your nominations before midnight on Friday 22nd August 2025 and you could win a fabulous treat for you and your team. Last year, prizes included afternoon tea, edible treats and beautiful plants for teams!
About the Valued Awards
We believe that employee wellbeing is inextricably linked to organisational cultures and professional fulfilment. These awards recognise organisations that have put in place initiatives that support people to thrive in the workplace.
All primary and social care staff across North Central London are invited to nominate teams and organisations who have made a real difference across five categories, which include, Health and Wellbeing, Leadership, Education, Service Delivery and Inclusivity.
The awards were open to all primary and social care teams working across NCL, including those working in GP surgeries, community pharmacies and NHS funded dental and optometry sites as well as care and nursing homes in Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington.

Categories
Health and Wellbeing:
This category is about putting employees first by valuing and embedding health and wellbeing support for all employees. We’re looking to recognise initiatives that actively promote and support employee wellbeing.
Leadership:
A strong leader has a unique ability to guide and inspire others, which in turn contributes to the effective and efficient running of an organisation. We are looking for exceptional leaders who have helped shape a culture that gets outstanding results and attracts, motivates and retains talented staff.
Education:
In this category, we are looking for organisations that prioritise training and development, and supporting people in their career. We want to hear about structured training and development initiatives, which form an integral part of the organisational culture and positively impact the team.
Inclusivity:
An inclusive culture is one where everyone feels like they truly belong. We are looking to celebrate an organisation that has an approach to equality, diversity and inclusion that positively impacts on individuals, operations and culture.
Sustainability & the Green Agenda:
Championing a greener future: driving sustainable change in primary and social care organisations. This new category recognises organisations taking meaningful action to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable working. From reducing carbon emissions and waste to encouraging greener behaviours and operations, we’re celebrating those embedding sustainability into everyday care.
Service Delivery:
This category is looking for a team or organisation that embraces new ways of working and delivering care, across disciplines or boroughs, supported by technology. We are looking to celebrate an organisation that has undertaken a new initiative that has positively impacted individuals, organisation productivity and patient outcomes.

Submit Your Nomination
Please read the information below before submitting your nomination.
The deadline for nominations is midnight on Friday 22nd August 2025
Nominations can be made by any staff across the ICS
One form is needed per entry. You can make multiple nominations, but need to complete a form for each
Nominations should reference a project, initiative, or piece of work delivered in the past 12 months (June 2024 and June 2025). This ensures the recognition reflects the most current and relevant efforts within the NCL system.
Nominations should be clear and sufficiently detailed - While the process should not be time-consuming to complete, nominations should include enough specific detail to clearly highlight the impact, outcomes, and relevance of the initiative being recognised. This helps judges make informed and fair decisions.
Nominations should describe new initiatives or achievements that have not been submitted or part of any previous Valued Awards submissions.
If you work within the NCL Training Hub team and would like to submit a Valued Awards nomination, please ensure you refer to the NCL Media Engagement Protocol and Awards Policy before submitting your nomination. (Please note this only applies to NCL Training Hub staff members).
