About the Valued Awards

We believe that employee wellbeing is inextricably linked to organisational cultures and professional fulfilment. These awards recognise organisations that have put in place initiatives that support people to thrive in the workplace.

All primary and social care staff across North Central London are invited to nominate teams and organisations who have made a real difference across six categories, which include, Health and Wellbeing, Leadership, Education, Service Delivery, Inclusivity and Sustainability.

The awards were open to all primary and social care teams working across NCL, including those working in GP surgeries, community pharmacies and NHS funded dental and optometry sites as well as care and nursing homes in Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington.

NCL Valued Awards 2025 Breakfast Event

In 2025, all primary and social care staff across North Central London were invited to nominate teams and organisations who have made a real difference across these six categories.

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners at the 2025 NCL Valued Awards. The awards breakfast was held on Tuesday 18th November 2025 at Regents University. We were lucky to have wonderful guest speakers join us on the day, including Prof. Mala Rao OBE (Imperial College London) and Clare Henderson (NCL ICB).

Nominations, Results and Event Programme

Winners, runners up and highly commended nominees all received prizes to enjoy with their teams. These included vouchers for afternoon tea treats for the team and wonderful potted plants for the office. All nominees involved also received a small plant. We are delighted that so many people and organisations were nominated and came along to celebrate the fantastic work across NCL.

Categories

Health and Wellbeing:

This category is about putting employees first by valuing and embedding health and wellbeing support for all employees. We’re looking to recognise initiatives that actively promote and support employee wellbeing.

Leadership:

A strong leader has a unique ability to guide and inspire others, which in turn contributes to the effective and efficient running of an organisation. We are looking for exceptional leaders who have helped shape a culture that gets outstanding results and attracts, motivates and retains talented staff.

Education:

In this category, we are looking for organisations that prioritise training and development, and supporting people in their career. We want to hear about structured training and development initiatives, which form an integral part of the organisational culture and positively impact the team.

Inclusivity:

An inclusive culture is one where everyone feels like they truly belong. We are looking to celebrate an organisation that has an approach to equality, diversity and inclusion that positively impacts on individuals, operations and culture.

Sustainability & the Green Agenda:

Championing a greener future: driving sustainable change in primary and social care organisations. This new category recognises organisations taking meaningful action to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable working. From reducing carbon emissions and waste to encouraging greener behaviours and operations, we’re celebrating those embedding sustainability into everyday care.

Service Delivery:

This category is looking for a team or organisation that embraces new ways of working and delivering care, across disciplines or boroughs, supported by technology. We are looking to celebrate an organisation that has undertaken a new initiative that has positively impacted individuals, organisation productivity and patient outcomes.
