Are you going through a time of change?
Are you thinking about changing roles?
Are you feeling burnt out?

Are you thinking of retiring?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, mentoring could provide the support you need.

Our free mentoring scheme is open to all primary care clinicians, whatever your role or stage of career. Whether you’re just starting out, moving into leadership, or considering your next steps, mentoring offers a safe, confidential space to reflect and grow.

Each mentee is paired with a trained mentor, an experienced NCL-based clinician who understands the realities of primary care.

Over the course of a year, you’ll meet monthly to share your experiences, explore opportunities, and gain fresh perspectives.

Mentoring takes place in your own time, making it flexible, accessible, and designed around your needs. It’s a chance to invest in yourself, your career, and your wellbeing.

Mentee:

Stephen Yaxley is a mid-career GP partner.

Mentee:

Sarah Levy is a salaried GP, who is early on in her career.

Mentor:

Veronica Devereux is an experienced GP partner and became a mentor in 2021.

If you would like a mentor, please express your interest using the link below.

For those who have previously participated in the scheme and would benefit from further support, we now offer up to six months of additional mentoring (subject to mentor availability).

Alongside the benefits of mentoring, the NCL Borough Alumni Network offers a wider community of support and connection. Launching this autumn 2026, the network brings colleagues together to build relationships, share experiences and learning. Find out more by clicking on the button below.
