The programme is tailored and bespoke to meet the needs of the candidate regarding the NMC application and registration process. Below is a detailed breakdown of the two primary components of the NMC registration process, where we will provide the candidate with financial support and guidance.
English language requirement – Occupational English Test (OET)
The NMC accepts two language tests: IELTS Academic and OET. Achieving the required score in reading, writing, listening, and speaking is essential, with scores valid for two years. Additionally, the NMC now accepts Supporting Information from Employers (SIFE) as supplementary evidence of English language proficiency for certain applicants.
Here is how each candidate will be supported with the OET training and examination:
Training programme access: we will help secure a spot on a bespoke external OET training programme.
Comprehensive English language assessment: all sucessful candidates will be guided to our external OET provider, Specialist Language Courses (SLC), where they will receive recommendations on the advisable input hours of OET training.
Guidance for examination: each candidate will be advised by SLC regarding optimal methods and timing to book the OET exam.
Financial commitment: financial support will be offered for the full cost of the training programme, examination plus one retake examination
Objective Structures Clinical Examination (OSCE)
The OSCE programme incorporates hands-on clinical training in the skills lab, providing one-to-one support in various areas, including patient care planning, medical management, aseptic non touch technique (ANTT) to name a few.
Here is how each candidate will be supported with their OSCE training and examination:
OSCE training – we will help secure a spot on a four-week OSCE training programme at North Middlesex University Hospital. This comprehensive programme covers a full 10-station OSCE. Each candidate will be assessed individually on their clinical skills and knowledge, and constructive feedback provided to improve and develop knowledge and competencies to meet the NMC requirement for professional registration.
Financial commitment: financial support will be offered for the full cost of the training programme, examination including travel expenses and one retake examination.
In order to participate in the programme and benefit from the available funding, employers will be required to comply and adhere to a set of terms and conditions.
A full set of terms and conditions will be outlined in an SLA shared with interested employers. These include:
