Safe Learning Environment Charter

NHS England has produced a safer learning environment charter which has been highlighted in NCL Supervision Support Programme workshops.  

The Safe Learning Environment Charter focuses on how the integration of learners into psychologically safe teams can be used to support the development of positive safety cultures and foster continuous learning. It is based on the latest research findings and outlines the key requirements of environments designed to help learners thrive. 

The 10 priorities in the charter be directly linked to the 4 stages of psychological safety (as described by Clark and shared in the in-practice learning slides) and can be prompt for further group discussion on each domain.
