Guys' and St Thomas' Patient Safety Fellowship (3)

This Fellowship programme aims to promote medical/management trainee involvement learning and reflection from incidents, raising awareness and promoting a ‘no blame’ safety culture.

The Fellowship includes mandatory Trust patient safety and improvement modules (approximately 8 hours training) and 3 bespoke face to face training mornings which will include simulated scenarios based on PSIRF thematic analyses and linked to the Patient Safety Improvement Plan.

You will be guided through the scenarios using the Systems Engineering for Improving Patient Safety and After Action Review frameworks, introducing them to patient safety improvement tools integral to the PSIRF.

You will also be offered the opportunity to attend an Assurance Panel meeting to observe how learning from PSIs is shared across the Trust.

The fellowship culminates in a reflective learning assignment.

Attendance is required at all three sessions, which will be held in person:

  • Friday 14 March 2025

  • Friday 4 April 2025

  • Friday 20 June 2025
