LTC LCS Event: Type 2 Diabetes training day for NCL primary care clinicians

A full day of face to face Diabetes education which will mostly cover the management of type 2 Diabetes. The session will be joined by specialists in the field of diabetes including, endocrinologists, dieticians, podiatrists and psychologists from across NCL.

The day will cover:

• Diagnosing diabetes

• Latest evidence in dietary advice for diabetics

• Use of oral antihyperglycaemics

• Introduction of injectable drugs

• Type 1 diabetes and continuous glucose monitoring – primary care need to know facts
