Apprenticeships News: anticipated change to Level 7 Apprenticeships

The government is currently reviewing the Apprenticeship Levy and how it’s used. It’s anticipated that funding for Level 7 apprenticeships (equivalent to a master’s degree) will be removed from the Growth and Skills Levy as a result of this review. The timeframes for this change are still to be confirmed but it is anticipated by summer 2025.

This means there is a short window to utilise Level 7 Apprenticeships whilst the funding is still available via the Apprenticeship Levy. The NCL Training Hub can support GP practices who do not pay into the levy to access funding via a levy transfer – this ensures apprenticeships are fully funded.

Updates will be published on this page: GOV UK Apprenticeships - Changes to funding for L7 apprenticeships.
