Closure of Nurse Education Service
Unfortunately, at the end of October, the Adult Social Care Clinical Education programme, run by the Nurse Educator team, hosted by the North Central London Training Hub, is closing.
The programme was set up in 2020 to support a collaborative approach to the delivery of an education programme for care providers across NCL.
It was enabled by a series of non-recurrent funding streams from NHSE, however, despite best efforts, in a difficult financial climate, we have been unable to secure the funding required to continue.
This means that from 1 November 2024 support for the following services within the adult social care clinical educator programme will be discontinued:
• Virtual bite-size training sessions
• Bespoke clinical training in care homes
• Whzan training and support
• Resilience Based Clinical Supervision
• Health & wellbeing bus support
• Clinical Educator Nurse forums
We are grateful to the team for their significant work and positive impact over the past four years, from which many staff and employers have benefitted.
Providers and adult social care colleagues are advised to visit the Proud to Care website for future training opportunities: Home - Proud to Care (proudtocarenorthlondon.org.uk)
Any questions or concerns about the closure of the programme should be directed to Laura Lucas, Programme Director at North Central London Training Hub at laura.lucas2@nhs.net
