Physical Health Care for People with Severe Mental Illness’ Training
Maudsley Learning is running a free, national half-day online course, ‘Physical Health Care for People with Severe Mental Illness’ course as part of the strategy to improve physical health care outcomes in individuals with severe mental illness.
This theory-focused and interactive course is aimed at Care navigator, Clinical support worker, Health visitor, Nurse associate, Pharmacist, RGNs.
It will provide an overview of systemic barriers and how practical adaptations can be implemented to ensure the physical health needs of individuals with serious mental health illness are met. Existing legal frameworks and evidenced based guidelines for primary care services will be covered along with guidance around working collaboratively with stakeholders and clinical teams to maintain effective patient care.
There are a number of dates between December 22 and March 2023.
