Register your Interest Now: To Become an Approved Educator in NCL
Clinicians of all roles who wish to support learners as an educational supervisor are required to complete the NCL educator approval process. This process has two parts:
Part one to register and complete the appropriate supervisor course
Part two will include an educator application and NCL TH assessment following completion of the course.
For GP roles: registration is now open for the next London GP Supervisor Course cohorts which will run between February and June 2025. More information about the course including requirements and future cohort dates, please see here.
For all other clinical roles: registration is now open for the next London Multi-Professional Supervisor Course cohort which will run between January and April 2025. This course is for any role in general practice who is not a GP but supports the educational supervision of other clinicians in their practice.
Participants must meet the following entry requirements for admission on to the course:
Be in a non-GP role
Work in a learning environment that is approved, or applying for approval
Be 2 years post-CCT or equivalent with relevant mentor, supervision and education experience related to their clinical speciality.
Be engaged with the local borough Multi-Professional Faculty Group (MPEG).
Will attend all four in-person workshops of the course and will complete any pre-reading or summative work as part of the course.
The next cohort will run in-person across the following days:
Thursday 9th January 2025
Wednesday 5th February 2025
Tuesday 4th March 2025
Tuesday 8th April 2025

On completion of the training course, educators are expected to engage with the NCL Quality team and complete an application form and NCL TH assessment in order to be approved. More information about the process for educators to apply for approval in NCL is on the Faculty & Quality webpages here.
