Adult Social Care Team Award for partnership with Middlesex University

Congratulations to the NCL Training Hub Adult Social Care team and NCL ICB who were Highly Commended for the Healthcare Partnership of the Year Awards at last week’s London Higher Awards for their work with Middlesex University helping boost the healthcare workforce in London. The Training Hub were also shortlisted with Middlesex University for Widening Participation and Outreach for the NHS Health and Social Care Careers Fair.

Middlesex University’s Senior Lecturer in Practice Learning, Pam Hodge said: “Our partnership has made a significant contribution to developing the skills and confidence of adult social care nurses, and to helping to develop and retain the workforce in the locality, in a sector experiencing staff shortages.

She added: “It has also enhanced the learning of our student nurses through positive placement experiences in care homes”.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supported Return to GP Training (SRTT) Champion in NCL with the aim to support GP trainees to return to training safely and confidently after a sustained period of absence.
