Islington Training Hub
The Islington Training Hub works to ensure the best possible training and support offer is available for the local health and care workforce in order to provide the best possible care for Islington residents (285,457 – January 2022).
Islington Training Hub leads the NCL Training Hub Faculty and Quality programme on behalf of the ICS. To find out more about support for developing supervisors, educators and learning environments click here.
We support 31 local GP practices and five Primary Care Networks (PCNs) through:
Workforce development initiatives that shape new, transformative ways of working with our local borough partners to expand the skills mix and support significant role developments to support positive health outcomes for the local population
We host an exciting local leadership programme that encourages growth and development of newly qualified and mid-career leadership opportunities
Help accredit educators and promote a culture of supportive learning environments for learners
Increase awareness of the multidisciplinary workforce in primary care; support the recruitment of new and emerging roles through alternative career pathways and student placements
Facilitate multi-professional training models that are responsive to training needs and focus on growing and developing the local workforce
