NCL Valued Awards 2024
We are delighted to announce that The NCL Valued Awards are back this year! Following the success of last year's event, we are once again inviting nominations to recognise the outstanding work of teams and organisations that have made a real difference to their staff or primary and social care in general.
Submit your nomination before midnight on Friday 26th July 2024 and you could win a fabulous treat for you and your team! Last year, prizes included afternoon tea and massage therapist packages, edible treats and beautiful plants delivered to teams. All nominees will receive a gift to celebrate getting involved and the work they have undertaken!
About the Valued Awards
We believe that employee wellbeing is inextricably linked to organisational cultures and professional fulfilment. These awards recognise organisations that have put in place initiatives that support people to thrive in the workplace.
All primary and social care staff across North Central London are invited to nominate teams and organisations who have made a real difference across five categories, which include, Health and Wellbeing, Leadership, Education, Service Delivery and Inclusivity.
The awards are open to all primary and social care teams working across NCL, including those working in GP surgeries, community pharmacies and NHS funded dental and optometry sites as well as care and nursing homes in Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington.

Valued Award Categories
Health and Wellbeing:
This category is about putting employees first by valuing and embedding health and wellbeing support for all employees. We’re looking to recognise initiatives that actively promote and support employee wellbeing.
Leadership:
A strong leader has a unique ability to guide and inspire others, which in turn contributes to the effective and efficient running of an organisation. We are looking for exceptional leaders who have helped shape a culture that gets outstanding results and attracts, motivates and retains talented staff.
Education:
In this category, we are looking for organisations that prioritise training and development, and supporting people in their career. We want to hear about structured training and development initiatives, which form an integral part of the organisational culture and positively impact the team.
Inclusivity:
An inclusive culture is one where everyone feels like they truly belong. We are looking to celebrate an organisation that has an approach to equality, diversity and inclusion that positively impacts on individuals, operations and culture.
Service Delivery:
This category is looking for a team or organisation that embraces new ways of working and delivering care, across disciplines or boroughs, supported by technology. We are looking to celebrate an organisation that has undertaken a new initiative that has positively impacted individuals, organisation productivity and patient outcomes.
Nomination Criteria
Teams or organisations may nominate themselves or be nominated by others, if they meet the criteria for one of the categories above. Click the button below to view the criteria for each category.

In 2023, an awards breakfast was held at Regents University to celebrate those involved. Speakers included Professor Jill Maben MBE, University of Surrey, Dr Rachel Roberts, NHS England, Michelle Johnson, North Central London ICB, Natalie Moyanah, NHS England, Dr Sarah Morgan and Michael Fox, NCL Training Hub. Over 70 nominees and their teams joined the celebration.
Winners, runners up and highly commended nominees all received prizes to enjoy with their teams. These included massage packages, afternoon tea for the team and vouchers for delicious treats. All other nominees involved also received a plant for their office! We are delighted that so many people and organisations were nominated and look forward to celebrate again with staff across NCL in 2024!
