NCL Core Immunisation Training (for Registered Health Professionals)
Eligibility:
For nurses or registered health professionals (including clinical pharmacists and paramedics) working in general practices and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in North Central London.
Not for HCAs.
Dates:
· 24 February 2026, 9:30am – 4:30pm
About the training:
A full foundation-level programme covering immunisation policy, safe administration, consent, cold chain, record-keeping, vaccine preventable diseases, communication, and practical technique.
NCL Immunisation Update Training
Eligibility:
For nurses, clinical pharmacists, paramedics and HCAs currently working in general practices or PCNs in North Central London.
Dates:
· 17 February 2026, 1:30pm – 4:30pm
About the training:
Designed for practitioners who already deliver vaccinations and require annual refresher training in line with national standards. Covers updates, schedule changes, clinical queries, safety, and current topics.

NCL Core Immunisation Training (for Health Care Assistants)
Eligibility:
For HCAs working in general practices and PCNs in NCL who have not previously completed equivalent foundation training.
Not open to registered clinicians.
Date:
· 4 February 2026, 1:30pm – 4:30pm
About the training:
A foundation programme tailored to HCA scope of practice. Covers:
· HCA roles and boundaries
· Safe documentation and record-keeping
· Consent (obtained by a registered clinician)
· Cold chain and anaphylaxis preparedness
· Practical injection technique (adult) and nasal administration (child)
· Core vaccines delegated to HCAs (e.g., influenza, shingles, pneumococcal, RSV subject to local policy)
Learners attending Core Immunisation Training must complete the following e-LfH Immunisation (IMM) modules:
· National immunisation policy and programmes
· Immunology and types of vaccine
· Vaccine-preventable diseases
· Communicating with patients, parents and carers
· Legal aspects of vaccination
· Vaccine storage (cold chain)
· Vaccine administration
Certificates must be emailed before attendance to: certificates@communitymatters.co.uk
Delegates must also complete a competency assessment and sign-off with their employer before administering vaccinations.
