NCL Training Hub supports staff development across all the NCL boroughs. We would like to highlight below the forums you can join for local peer support, as well as information about newsletters that will help you stay informed with the latest training offers.  

Some of the forums highlighted are managed by borough teams, and others are for all staff in NCL.  Please see the graphic below, to view some of the multidisciplinary forums available to staff within North Central London.

NCL Nursing and AHP forums:

These are regular forums for all nursing staff and allied health professionals across North Central London. Please contact nclicb.nclnursingprogrammes@nhs.net to find out the dates of the next Nursing and AHP wide forum.

Nursing & AHP forum

When: Third Wednesday of each month, 1:00–2:00 PM (excluding August & December)
These online forums provide system updates, training announcements, CPD opportunities, and bite-sized learning across a range of clinical and non-clinical topics. The sessions promote cross-discipline discussion and learning.

Designated Prescribing Practitioner / Independent Prescriber forum

The NCL DPP/IP forum is a supportive space for Designated Prescribing Practitioners (DPPs) and aspiring DPPs across NCL to connect, share experiences, and strengthen their role in supervising trainee prescribers. It aims to address the challenges of balancing clinical and educational responsibilities by fostering peer support, continuous learning, and best practice sharing. Through discussion and case-based learning, the Forum helps DPPs feel confident in their role and ensures trainee prescribers are supported to prescribe safely and effectively.

The forum meets Online Every second Tuesday/Thursday, 1pm – 2pm. To register: NCL DPP/IP Forum | medtribe.com

NCL Physician Associate forum and WhatsApp group:

Please contact nclicb.nclth@nhs.net for information about the date of the next forum, or to find out about the whatsapp group you can join. The forum is run by the NCL Physician Associate ambassador.

Multi professional educational groups in all boroughs

There are regular multi-professional education groups (MPEGs) that are organised in each borough. MPEGs in all five boroughs support colleagues across all roles in primary care. See here to find out why you should join your local MPEG and how to get involved.

Non-Medical prescribing forum

Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) forum takes place on the second Wednesday of each quarter.
This forum offers a space to connect with other NMPs in NCL primary care, share challenges, and discuss current prescribing issues and best practices.

Staff working in Barnet

There are a number of forums for staff working in Barnet.  The Pan Barnet events takes place virtually on the first Wednesday of the month, with in-person meetings taking place two to three times a year. 

 As well as this there are nursing forums and practice manager forums which take place each Tuesday.  There are also regular pharmacy education sessions. Please contact:  barnet.cepnadmin@nhs.net to find out more about when the next forums and meeting will be taking place. 

Staff working in Camden

There are regular Camden engagement events, as well as regular practice manager forums, clinical pharmacist forum and nursing forums.  Please contact training@communitymatters.co.uk to find out more.   There is also a regular newsletter for Camden staff.  If you wish to be added to the distribution list for the newsletter please contact johanna.north@communitymatters.co.uk  

Staff working in Enfield

There is a monthly paramedic forum for staff in Enfield.  Please contact nia.eldrett@nhs.net to find out dates for the next forum.  

There are also nurse forums, clinical pharmacy forums, Learn Enfield events and supervision support series. Please contact nur.massoud@nhs.net to find out dates for these Enfield based events.

Staff working in Haringey

Staff working in Islington

There are also monthly learning together sessions for Islington staff as well as practice manager forums, personalised care education sessions, monthly first contact practitioners' groups and weekly workforce and training updates.   Please contact the Islington Training Hub team at igpf.islingtontraininghub@nhs.net if you want to find out more.
