The Business Administrator apprenticeship covers all things administration such as communication, organisation, decision-making, interpretation of information and IT skills. The business administration apprenticeship can be contextualised to include specific areas within the primary care environment meaning it aligns well with Medical Administrator and GP assistant roles.
This apprenticeships covers coding which is a specialist areas within information management. Clinical Coders collect, input and translate codes into the Patient Administration Systems used to store medical records, manage outstanding coding reports, address queries, and handle data quality issues.
This is a Level 3 apprenticeship
The Community Health and Wellbeing apprenticeship aligns with the new personalised care roles: social prescribers, health & wellbeing coaches and care co-ordinators. Personalised Care roles are a rapidly expanding workforce, and this apprenticeship supports the increased emphasis on a wide range of responsibilities.

The Customer Service Specialist apprenticeship aligns to a number of roles including receptionists, administrators, care navigators. The apprenticeship provides an opportunity to develop business and customer insight knowledge and skills, and become ‘specialists’ in customer support and ‘advocates’ for excellent customer service. The Operations / Departmental Manager apprenticeship is designed for those already working in an established management role but would benefit from developing a wider range of management skills. It aligns well for Practice Manager roles in primary care. Other responsibilities may include managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring.

It align to those in Assistant Practice Manager or similar roles. It is suitable for new or existing employees who are expected to develop the skills necessary to lead or manage teams.

Nursing associate is a new role within the nursing team that helps bridge the gap between Healthcare Assistant and Registered Nurses. Nursing associate is a stand-alone role that enables registered nurses to focus on more complex clinical duties.

The Pre Reg Trainee Pharmacy Technician provide an opportunity to become a registered pharmacy technician. This role can be found in a range of settings, including registered pharmacies, community services, prisons, GPs, care homes and clinical commissioning groups, hospitals and mental health. Pharmacy technicians manage the supply of medicines and devices in a pharmacy and assist pharmacists with advisory services.
This is Level 3 apprenticeship
The Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship (RNDA) offers a more flexible approach to qualifying as a nurse and does not require full time study at university. The RNDA will be completed in a range of placement settings including, hospitals, GP practices, community settings and mental health facilities.
Registered nursing associates can top up their training to become a registered nurse via a shortened version of the RNDA.
This is a Level 4 apprenticeship.
